Useful Links and Sites for Reading

Little Wandle

We use Little Wandle to teach the decoding skills required for reading. There are videos and tips to support parents at home, found by going to the ‘For Parents’ section of the website. You will not need a login to access this section. Link

Bookzilla App

This is an app produced by the Scottish Book Trust and is an excellent tool to help children further develop their reading for pleasure. Children can log the books they’ve read and use filters to help them find other books they might love. We advise that parents help to set the filters to ensure that age appropriate books are recommended to the child. It can be downloaded for free, for Apple and Android devices. Link
