Thanks so much for all your stamps! First Eco-Council meeting of 2018!

We had a first Eco-Council meeting of 2018 today, and we had one thing on our mind: STAMPS for OXFAM! We urgently need you to bring in any used stamps this week before our competition with Whitehouse Common to see which school has collected the most. Please help us to help OXFAM.

Welcome!

Hi and welcome to our new Hollyfield Eco-Council members! We had our first meeting at lunchtime today and we were all bursting with excitement and ideas of how to be environmentally friendly. Watch this space!

Planting sunflowers

We have been out in the Hollyfield Garden over the past two days planting out our sunflowers so they can get some sunshine and grow nice and tall!

The Water Bar is open!

The Eco-Council are running the Water Bar this week to encourage children to drink healthy drinks rather than fizzy and sugary drinks. Green Fashion Show

Everyone who made a costume at today’s Green Fashion Show was AWESOME! Here are the overall winners. Waste Week has been lots of fun, and a great chance to think about our responsibility to look after the environment. Remember the 3R’s: REDUCE, RE-USE and RECYCLE!

New Water Bar opening!

Eco-council are busy making preparations for the Water Bar opening next week to encourage children to re-hydrate with healthy flavoured water, rather than sugary drinks.
